Obama and the Progressive Agenda Lose Again
As we reflect on the last election we are reminded that the progressive agenda suffered a defeat even worse than they did in 2010. In addition to losing the Senate, the Democrats were trounced in the House and now on track to be at the lowest level they have been at since the 1920s. At the state level, the position from which future Presidents, Senators, and Representatives come, the Republicans control more state legislatures than they ever have and have picked up instead of lost governorships. So while the media protected persona of Obama was able to win the last election with millions fewer votes in 2012 than 2008, we may have seen the high water mark of the progressive agenda if we stay engaged to ensure a conservative victory in 2016. It took the progressives decades to get us to this point; we need to stay in the fight for freedom to undo that damage.
In spite of that defeat Obama continues to push his destructive, anti-constitutional agenda with the latest example being his amnesty executive order. We will not roll over and play dead, but will continue to look for ways to oppose his actions and will engage you with this.
The Battle for the Senate
While we have flipped the Senate back to a more conservative control, we need to finish up strong with a win in Louisiana to provide another public defeat for Obama. This seat is so important that the Democrats were willing to vote on the Keystone pipeline to make Mary Landrieu look more energy friendly. We need this seat to get as big a margin as possible to handle any of the "moderate" Republicans defections and to set that stage for conservative control of the Senate in 2016 and beyond.
